We are happy to report that we have successfully re-housed the families in our program so that they can self-isolate during the coronavirus pandemic. They are all safe and doing fine. However, this came at significant expense–an expense that was sudden and unexpected. Many of you have asked how you can help the neediest and most vulnerable in our community during these scary and uncertain times. One easy way is to make a contribution to our shelter program, which you can do by clicking on the “Donate” link at the top of this page. Every dollar we raise helps provide shelter for homeless and housing-insecure families, so anything helps. Thank you for your generosity.
Homeless families are often hidden from our view—they are living in shelters, cars, campgrounds, or doubled up in overcrowded apartments. The most cited reasons for family homelessness are: lack of affordable housing, unemployment, and poverty.
So what can you do to help?
